How to avoid temperature fluctuations at home? Modern thermostats and thermostatic heads by ZAMEL Exta Life.
Temperature fluctuations in rooms are a common problem for residents of both single-family homes and apartment buildings. The temperature can change unexpectedly, leading either to overheating and discomfort or to excessive cooling that may result in catching a cold. Additionally, such frequent temperature changes have a direct impact on energy consumption and, consequently, on heating costs.
For many years, various types of temperature controllers and thermostats have been used to address this issue. However, manually set devices are often still not ideal. That is why we have decided to introduce a wide range of modern temperature control devices to our offer. This new addition expands the Exta Life product line — a wireless control system based primarily on a dedicated mobile application.
Among the new devices, you will find, among others:
- wireless battery-powered temperature controllers (LBW-21, 22, and 23) and mains-powered versions (LPW-21, 22, 23),
- a wireless controller receiver (LOT-21),
- a wireless underfloor heating control strip (LLM-21),
- a wireless thermostatic head (LGT-21),
- wired battery-powered controllers (LBR-01, 02, 03) and mains-powered versions (LPR-01, 02, 03),
- thermostatic actuators (SOP-01 and 02) and a wired underfloor heating control strip (LLM-01),
- pump controllers (ZPC1, ZPC1B, ZPC2),
- Wi-Fi based controllers (RWW-31),
- electromagnetic relays (PEP-10/16A, PEM-10/16A).
Comprehensive information about the above products can be found on our website and in the 2024 new products brochure. Now, we will focus on two selected devices: wireless temperature controllers and the wireless thermostatic head.
Wireless Temperature Controllers
We have developed six temperature controllers that can be divided into two groups — battery-powered (LBW) and 230 V mains-powered (LPW). Both groups share many common features, while the main differences are the power supply and installation method.
Battery-powered controllers are designed for surface mounting or for placement anywhere in the room, whereas the mains-powered versions are intended for flush mounting only. Battery-powered controllers communicate wirelessly with other devices such as the LLM-21 heating control strip, the LOT-21 boiler receiver, or the EFC-01 controller.
In addition to wireless communication, the 230 V powered controllers are equipped with a volt-free switching contact output. This contact can be used for a wired connection between the controller and a heating control strip or another heating device.
The main advantage of the wireless controllers (LBW and LPW) is that no wiring is required between the controller and the heating strip or heating device when using wireless communication. Moreover, when used together with the EFC-01 controller, the regulators can be managed via the Exta Life mobile app. This allows you to control your heating system directly from your smartphone, especially when you are away from home.
At any time, you can increase or decrease the temperature, change the controller’s schedule, or adjust its configuration. This makes our heating system extremely modern and always under your control.
Main differences between the individual controllers:
LBW/LPW – 21
- control based on a single temperature
- dimensions: 80 × 80 × 20 mm
LBW/LPW – 22
- daily control based on day and night temperature settings
- assigning temperatures to specific hours of the day
- manual operation mode
- temporary increase or decrease of the temperature
- dimensions: 80 × 80 × 20 mm (the thickness differs between battery-powered and mains-powered controllers)
LBW/LPW – 23
- control based on a weekly schedule and four predefined temperature levels
- special modes: anti-freeze, holiday, party
- ability to define temperature control ranges
- floor overheating protection function
- thermometer function (with an external sensor)
- manual operation mode
- temporary increase or decrease of the temperature
- dimensions: 120 × 80 × 20 mm (the thickness differs between battery-powered and mains-powered controllers)
Wireless Thermostatic Head (LGT-21)
A modern thermostatic head is an excellent alternative to traditional solutions. With this device, you can precisely control the temperature in rooms heated by conventional radiators. When connected to the Exta Life app, the head allows you to manage the temperature from a mobile device, whether you are at home or away. Operation in manual or automatic mode increases control flexibility.
Despite its seemingly simple function — regulating the temperature of a radiator — the device offers a range of additional features, such as an open window detection mode and the ability to program a weekly schedule. Its mechanical design ensures optimized energy consumption and extends battery life.
The Exta Life product line and the new thermoregulation devices it includes are proprietary solutions that are continuously developed, updated, and designed for long-term presence on the market. ZAMEL has been operating since 1989, and during this time we have created countless well-regarded devices used both in homes and workplaces (doorbells, building automation, sensors, and more). Being a domestic manufacturer with a factory located in Pszczyna is a significant advantage for us, as the entire process of design, production, and servicing of our devices takes place locally.
